I’ve been away. Depression sucks big time and its a liar. As I slowly crawl out of my hole, I’m going to attempt to write more but put no pressure on myself as I have enough going on.
During this time I’ve been watching a ton of movies and random TV shows, mostly on Netflix but some on Hulu.
I did watch the new Winx show on Netflix, mind you I’d never seen the old show I just vaguely remember the toys. Think I might have been out of the demographic as the original Winx came out in 2004 and I was 14 at the time. Plus we didn’t have TV.
While watching Fate: The Winx Saga I felt a tad uneasy. As first things first girls are split over a dude, which is kinda blah and Bloom…I did not like her. My favorite character had to be Terra who came off as super bubbly but had a temper. I did like parts of the show but the ending left a bad taste in my mouth due to being predictable, Bloom being annoying and some things just making no sense. I’m trying not to spoil anything here but there were parts especially in the latter episodes that didn’t have many redeeming qualities. Mostly the sudden change of an entire part of the cast.
Maybe I’m once again just in the wrong demographic but I originally thought the Winx were about friendship or something like that? Fate: The Winx saga falls sadly short in that department. Instead of characters being relatable, many are angsty and annoying.
